spring gifting stress

April: anniversary
May: mothers day
May: my birthday
Needless to say, Mark gets a little anxious when this high pressure gifting season rolls around. I always tell him I'm easy to buy for: A nice card, or flowers, or something cute you came across at Anthropologie or Forever 21. No sweat. Apparently it's not that easy. So every year he asks for a list. Whatever I can do to ease your pain, my dear.
pumps from Lori's

tickets

the Bosch

jelly bellies

sandals from Piperlime
orbs and angles mirror from Anthro
vinyl stickers from blik

cute print from sfgirlbybay on etsy

that was easy, right. no pressure.

  1. I am a big fan of the anthro mirror. Please tell Mark I would like one of those, too.

  3. Emily, I remember when we were at Anthro in SLC and you spotted the mirror. Good taste. Why doesn't that thing go on sale already?

Abby, what color did you get? I can't decide between the yellow and this teal-ish one. Chances are I will be buying this for myself. Do you know any men who shop on etsy?

  4. I'll jump in here for Abby. She got the yellow one. I love how it looks in the frame.

  5. Sarah that Mother's Day/Birthday wish list is oozing with such appeal that I could just copy and paste the entire thing right into my own little wish list! Please showcase the results of such straight forward, direct communication at the end of May :)

Easy ladies. There will be no posting of results at the end of May or doling out of free gifts to relatives, no matter how much I like them :) As for now I'm leaning towards the ecomonical selections.

  7. I love that Mark's a closet blog lurker. Mark, you always do a fine job in the gift-giving arena, even if it is only for your wife and not for your sisters-in-law. No need to stress.

  8. Mark, I am kind of expecting a comment on my blog.

  9. Does he actually stick to the list? I gave up and started purchasing my own gifts, that way I get what I want. I know, Emily thinks I'm crazy. But this way we are all happy. Trust me, I've had too many "oh, that's nice" gifts.

  10. P.S. all I can say is, Wicked, GO, GO, GO, seriously, Go!

  11. He almost always sticks to the list. I tell him one item is plenty, that he obviously should not buy EVERYTHING on the list. I purposely put some things on this list that I know he won't buy, but might give him some ideas of his own. I like surprises too.

  12. Happy Birthday to you, too, Sarah. Which day is yours on? May seems to be a busy month for everyone. A wish list is a superb idea - I think I should try it, however Sterling wouldn't even know how to get onto our blog! :)
