Did you start in the middle of the quilt and work you way out or did you work top left corner and finish up the bottom right corner? This is a first for me, so I don't want to mess it up when I quilt it! :)Angiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09227559584268414268noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5993076650660686412.post-23342350081660861442011-05-24T20:28:48.164-07:002011-05-24T20:28:48.164-07:00Angie,

I was thinking of another chevron quilt that I did a double line every few inches.
Anyway, on that quilt, and on a few others, I used painters tape to make diagonals all across the quilt. I highly recommend this so your diagonals don't start to go different angles. If you tape it all out first, you'll be in good shape. With the tape, I just eyeball it, but you could also be more precise and measure. Once the tape is down, I sewed a quarter inch from both sided of the tape. Depending on how close you put your tape, you could also just sew to one side of every tape line. Does that make sense?Sarahhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13603494913454324767noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5993076650660686412.post-71788269798265756592011-05-24T19:50:11.315-07:002011-05-24T19:50:11.315-07:00I just looked at your two chevron quilts again, an...I just looked at your two chevron quilts again, and I wanted to quilt mine like you did on the grey and mustard one. SO CUTE. How do you sew as much as you do with 6kids? I'm impressed.

P.S. You are my favorite person to ask sewing questions to because you answer SO fast. I meant how far apart were the machine quilted lines that you did after the top was peiced? They look a few inches apart in your pictures? Thanks Sarah.Angiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09227559584268414268noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5993076650660686412.post-60331926973443039672011-05-24T19:05:04.969-07:002011-05-24T19:05:04.969-07:00angie,
