iPhone uPhone we all scream for iPhone

This is waaaay cool! My generous husband won this at work. Not won like "knocked down all the coke bottles at the state fair." He won it as in "unknowingly sold a lot of one certain manufacturer's goods and earned this sweet gadget as a reward." Since he already has a sweet gadget of his own (not nearly as sweet), and my out-dated, unable-to-charge phone is almost worthless, he lovingly bequeathed this beauty to me. As of today, it's up and running. I am so excited! Really, I don't mean to brag. If you knew what I've been using for the past 4 years (they don't make it anymore; "too many customer complaints and technical problems"), you'd say, "If anyone deserves that hot new iPhone, it's her!"

Okay, but I actually remember your phone being really cool. Little circle screen, right? My phone doesn't work unless it's charging. That means that it's like having a landline phone with a cord! I need an iPhone.

This post + what Mom has been telling me about recent events= Mark is THE MAN.

Mark and Jerry Seinfeld = they are THE MEN!

Like I said, with the iPhone, you are officially the hottest mom around. Without the iPhone, I don't know. . . (Joking!)

Also, allow me to recreate a conversation at our house last night.

Steve: Guess what! I found out that BYU will buy me a laptop, case, and a phone, Blackberry, Trio, whatever I want and will pay the service.

Emily: (Gasp!) Get an iPhone! Get an iPhone! YES!

Steve: I didn't think I wanted data capabilities because then people can email me anytime, but they told me that if I choose to answer calls/emails only while I'm at work, that is totally acceptable.

Emily: YES!

Abby,
My old phone had it's glory days, long before I owned it. It was someone else's return that my "connection" got for cheap. Is $100 cheap? It did look sort of spunky, but its functionality was weak. As of late, when I charged it, it would come on for a few minutes, the screen would say, "unable to charge," then promptly die.

Emily,
I'm confused! So are YOU getting the iPhone, or is Steve?

Not me. Maybe Steve.

I gathered that. Just from the sounds of it, you are more excited than he is.

Congrats! My husband has phone envy, he asks me everyday how much money he has to make before I let him buy one. Keep us updated on how it works!
