SHOPPING SPREE!!!!

Yesterday I splurged. $714.91 ... Bed Bath & Beyond $372.42 ... Holmes Tuttle Ford $197.65 ... Ross $ 14.71 ... Fletcher's I must confess, I TRIED to make my purchase at Ross, but I was declined. Oops. Kind of embarrassing! Do you want to know what I bought? Again, I'm so embarrassed. Do you ever spend lots of money and then come home and have nothing to show for it? How am I going to explain this to Mark? Actually, it seems my credit card went shopping without me. Naughty, naughty credit card! How did you manage to get down to the Tucson Ross in the first place? And what in the world did you buy for me at BB&B? And wow, you even had some car maintenance done? Owen and I DID spend $14.71 at Fletcher's, repairing our New Mexico flat tire. That was the ONLY legitimate purchase made on my credit card yesterday. I loathe fraud and fraud-ers. I heart fraud protection.

Dang! How did that happen?

How did you catch it? Some Mom out there stole your credit card number! What a loser.

The credit card company called because they thought it suspicous that all three transactions were keyed in: no card to swipe. Only one store denied the transaction though. If you were the store clerk at BB&B, wouldn't you think it odd that someone was spending over $700, but didn't have their card with them. How would they check ID against a no-card buyer?

I cannot believe someone at ANY store would accept a number without the card!!!! Let's all be happy when they ask for our ID. Sorry Sar!! Glad they were suspicious and called you.

Hey Jen! Nice to have you!

oh that sucks. That's not the nicest word, but I've had that happen, and I think the word fits the situation. Sorry.

Sarah (and Emily)-
You guys inspire me. How in the world do you have time to maintain a blog? This sounds really appealing to me, but I don't know how I could ever commit to something of this magnitude. It's sure fun to read and peek in on your lives, though.

did you leave your card in NM? and what the crap is Tuttle Ford?-err whatever.

My card never left my wallet. Upon calling Holmes Tuttle Ford (a Tucson car dealership and service center), I discovered the man who used my number had a card with a woman's name on it. He said it was his wife, and they accepted it. Except, when they swiped it through their machine, the magnetic strip did not work. Hmmm...what do you know? So they keyed it in manually. Did not check ID, either. How could they, it was his wife's card?! He signed the service slip "L. M." He is not a regular customer, so they did not have his name, address or phone number.

So, people are making fake cards with who know what names on them. I would like to know how he got my card number.

It was totally the KitchenAid's fault! I will probably never use it again which is sad to say since it's so cute and sits its yellow self in my lime green kitchen. Oh well because the Bosch is a dream come true. I knew the Bosch ruled because that's what my mom uses but it has changed my bread-making-life.

Mrs. Bryant,
I just don't understand how an the Bosch could be the answer. People have been making delicious bread for hundreds and thousands of years sans the Bosch. There must be more to it than that!...'Cause I just love my cute kitchen aid.

I don't claim to be a master bread maker now but the Bosch changed everything for me. I learned a couple of other tricks too that might help so give me a call sometime and I can tell you.
