No policeman pounding our door at midnight. (unlike last year)
No shot-out car windows. (unlike last year)
No tears. (unlike last year)
No lack of friends at block party. (like always. yay!)
No Junior Mints. (like always)
No Hot Tamales. (like always)

Grace is wearing my dance costume! I. can't. believe. it. Suddenly I feel 100 years old.
They all look fantastic!
P.S. What gives with the no Junior Mints or Hot Tamales? What is the point?
Yes, we have gotten some good use out of your old EXPENSIVE dance cotumes. That one is too big for Grace, since I think you wore it when you were 12. Many more years of use, I tell ya!
Last year I passed out hot tamales just to ensure I would get some. NO ONE ELSE DOES HOT TAMALES IN THESE PARTS.
Oh, and can I just say, I LOVE BORROWED or HODGE PODGE or EASY HOMEMADE costumes. I am not about paying big money for one night of dress up! The monkey costume was on sale at Old Navy so I feel OK about that. Minus a cheap pirate wig and witch's hat, Everything else was borrowed (from the Lees or the Nielsons) or found in the dress up drawer.
Way cute kids! Maybe you should have come trick-or-treating our neighborhood. All my kids got Hot Tamales... but they don't like them. "Too spicy."
Unlike you, our Halloween was filled with plenty of vomiting on My part. Nope not my child...me. How cool is that? Poor Ray. He had to take on all the activites by himself!
family journal, is this a new condition you'd like to share or just a stomach bug?
Did anybody recognize me? Sister Pospisil (in our ward) didn't. P.S. My wig was itchy!!!!
K, I had to read that a FEW times before I understood what you were inferring! Sorry to report that it was a case of the LAMEST flu ever. No Pregs. Probably will never be pregs again, by the looks of things. We have been trying for a year. BLAHHH!
But I know some have tried for much longer!
The kids are so, so cute! It's great you're using Abby's old dance costumes. I think I have another one here at the house. Molly, I really like the long, black hair.
Alright, I did not inherit the Hot Tamale gene that you got. They're okay and will do in a pinch, but I never crave them. Ever.
Emily, is this confessional time? I thought you loved them! Didn't we talk about this last Halloween and you agreed with me that they are so good! Thus the jar of hot tamales I got you for your birthday. This is crushing news.
