Last week I finally put up some of the letters I've been collecting.
The reaction:
Owen: "You put letters up, mom! X! X! X!"
Mark: "I actually like it." & "The A looks a little 80's." & "I see lots of holes in the wall." & "Is that D backwards?"
Me: "Maybe I'll repaint the A. Most likely I will rearrange the whole thing. thrice. more holes."
more letters. They're everywhere.
Unrelated rack, but isn't she nice?

i love it! you have some really cool letters.
and you know i love that rack. but i am wondering how you keep owen away from it or maybe he is just not that spazzy?
Initially, Owen was all over it. The novelty has worn off though. All the kids still spend time looking at the pictures that I change out periodically. Owen knows now to just spin the rack, not man-handle the photos.
At you're earliest convenience, I'm coming over with:
A notepad(check)
A pencil for writing inspiration you'll give me on said notepad(check)
and
A camera to take pictures of how cute your house is (check)
Obviously, I haven't been over in a while. I'm lovin' it!
Can you put some letters up on my wall too? I'm afraid that if I stole your idea that it just wouldn't turn out so fabulous!
Thanks Liz and Lys. You make a girl feel good.
OK this is weird. Blogger is freaking out on me. What happened to Liz' and Lys' comments and oh, another one from me?
What a great idea for displaying pictures. I am so excited abuot how I am going to steal your idea! Yay for me! I am so grateful for you!
very fun, every time I see pics of your house I want to see more, maybe a virtual tour?
I LOVE the letters!
Somehow it is just so YOU too. And I have always liked the photo rack, very fun!!
Now they're back. Weird.
my blog did the same thing! it deleted two comments from my blog but now I see my original one on here so maybe it's back to normal? let's hope.
I'm now not ever surprised at the Sarah Haslip taste and talent. You've got it bad, and that's good.:)
Your house is fabulous. YOU are fabulous! Where have you been collecting the letters, and where did you get the rack? (Not that I'm planning on shamelessly copying you or anything...)
Did you use revere pewter in the living room, too? I haven't seen that.
Jen, the letters are from ebay, pottery barn, here, and there. And the rack came from an old motel gift shop that was set to be torn down.
Emily, it's silver sage.
