the aftermath

It was soooo nice to have my mom and dad spend the night Christmas eve and be here first thing on Christmas morning. Our kids were thrilled! Nana helped put toys together and Papa took lots of pictures. The kids were excited about the day's spoils. One child spent the whole day ridin' the rail (above). Another, ridin' her new ripstick 'round the kitchen. 2 others were electronically charged.
or waited impatiently to get charged.

And we all enjoyed the treats our friends and family shared with us.It was a wonderful day.
Other highlights: Scones for brunch (fried, with cinnamon sugar or honey). Mark's mom and Ron bringing jello and pie for our late lunch. The light rain. Watching Kung Fu Panda. twice. Watching The King's Singers 12 days of Christmas with the Mo Tab. twice. Nana washing a boatload of dishes (it was a highlight for me, not her, but she finished them in a snap and with a smile). Paninis. Four grandparents playing the wii. Papa sharing his black licorice. yum. Not leaving the house, except to go on a neighborhood walk. Phone calls from family. I could go on and on. It was a wonderful day.
I hope yours was wonderful too and that you had many moments to remember that Christ is the true reason for this season. Merry Christmas.
