STELLA

My friend, and dedicated primary secretary, Heidi, is about to have her first baby. I'm so excited for her! Today I delivered this quilt and got to see Stella's nursery: Brown and pink with touches of aqua and lime green. It's darling. Heidi did tell me the color info, but I had never actually seen the room until today. I think this quilt fits right in.

And the new mommy is a bigtime scrapbooker, so the scissors print is sorta perfect.
fabric is wonderland by momo for moda.

Sarah, you have a real gift for colors. I love olive green and the cooler light blue together. Then throw in a little pink and brown. Genius!

  8. Sarah, how do you have time to make all the quilts that you do? I'm lucky if I finish 2 a year. This one is beautiful!

  9. Amy,
They are small. And if there's a choice between doing the dishes and quilting, I choose quilting.

  16. Hi Sarah!

I'm a newbie at sewing AND quilting. I came across your blog from pinterest and I'm in LOVE with your work. Thank you for being such an inspiration.

Is there a pattern for this quilt and also the one from your 'Simon Says' post? Please let me know. Thank you again!

  17. Chrislynn,
    Thanks so much!
I did not use an actual pattern on this one. But I got the idea from one of Camille Roskelley's patterns: http://thimbleblossoms.bigcartel.com/product/a-piece-of-cake-pdf-pattern.

I also did not use a pattern for the Simon Says quilt, but its pretty basic: I think I cut 6 (or 8) inch squares, and 3 inch strips.

    Good luck!
