chevron

i love chevrons.  i have to thank abby again for suggesting i try a chevron quilt last year.

this one is for my nephew, calvin. his family was in town last week and i got to spend some time with his mom and gift them calvin's quilt. he's 6 months old already.
aren't calvin and his mom darling?

  1. I get this dreamy i-love-my-quilt-so-much look on my face every time I look at it. It is perfect. Calvin's future children can have it when I die.

BTW, your last couple posts have come up really strange on my browser; are you doing something different? there is only one letter per line so it looks like this:

  3. oh sarah, it's my favorite. it is so so so cute. i am dying to try one. i need to come back to the states and stock up on fabric. or maybe just come back and live. that would be a silver lining...a chevron quilt. i mean it.

  4. emily,
i am so glad you like it. let's go shopping again soon too.

    amy,
that's strange. sometimes the updated version of blogger i'm using gives me a little trouble, but i don't know how to explain what you are seeing. it may have something to do with the ads i've just started running on my sidebar. but that doesn't make sense to me either.

    abby,
we should work on chevrons together. i would love love love that!

  5. Ok...I'm so out of it that when you said you loved Chevrons, I thought you meant the gas station. Seriously. I thought, what's so great about chevrons, Texaco is much better. lol...anyway, I'm having the same problem as Amy. Weird.

  8. Ok, I tried your blog on my other computer and it worked fine. Not sure what the difference is in my settings as to why I get it weird on one and not on the other. Strange. By the way, the quilt is fabulous!

  12. Are you kidding me? You're still quilting with the twins?? Had I known that, I would have ended our phone convo today much sooner!

Seriously, though, gorgeous work as usual. And seriously, I was on a high all day from our phone call. We need to talk more. It does my soul good. And confirms to me what an exceptional person you are, and how lucky I am to have you as a friend.

  14. I just found your blog and I'm once again amazed at your talent! I really should start quilting again. Not that I've ever considered myself a quilter though. I've only made one and that was eight years ago. :)
