sit. roll. repeat.

We're still working on the sitting thing.

It's getting a little better.
Mostly it's an exercise in "how fast can I get out of this thing?"

Rolling, on the other hand, is mastered.  George rolled off the couch the other day.  I panicked for a bit, and so did he.  After 3 minutes of tears, we were both fine.  I want these boys to grow and be more independent.  But I also really love when babies stay where you lay them, sleep all day, and can't bang their head on the entertainment center across the room.  It's the double edge sword of parenting.  I love every new stage, but always miss the ones they've grown out of.

As soon as I read about the rolling being mastered I just knew someone rolled off the couch. I think every baby does that once, it must be a rite of passage thing?! Glad you both are okay, I still can't believe how big those two adorable boys are getting!

I'm with you, Sarah--my joy at watching my kids grow up is always met with immediate sadness that they're not little anymore ("little" being whatever age they just were, be it 5 months or 5 years.) I know we need to enjoy ad live in the present, but it's hard as a mom, isn't it?

Your boys are so beautiful--one of them looks just like Molly in that photo where his head's turned toward the camera, and I am so, so sorry that I don't know whether it's Hank or George. Both so cute, though, they're pretty much interchangeable, don't you think?

Jennifer,
I know. I should totally label my photos. I am curious which one you think looks like Molly. I think you are talking about George who is wearing gray and white stripes, no? Someone told me the same thing yesterday, but I had never considered that before.

They are adorable! Noah and them are really only a month apart and he's just getting the sitting thing down now. I miss the part where they didn't move. :o)

We sat a bit behind you at church on Sunday and I couldn't stop staring at your cute boys! I can't believe how much they have grown already. It took all my will power not to send a note up a couple rows and beg to hold them. So cute! You sure are a lucky girl.

They are sooooo cute. Jenny's comment about one looking like Molly was interesting. I thought, of course it's Hank who looks most like Molly. But looking back at the photos, they both look like Molly in slightly different ways.

Wow, I think that Hank resembles Owen so strongly- especially that last picture. You have 5 beautiful children!
