The tree is lit and decorated and I am happy. It turned out to be a bit patriotic this year, which I hadn't intended. The paper chain is made from old book pages. And I have grand plans to make a book page wreath too. We'll see if that happens.
Mostly, the wee boys have left the tree alone. They do like to pull ornaments off occasionally, so the bottom 18 inches are sparse.
Santa visited our ward Christmas party - drove up in a sparkling cherry red golf cart. It was sweet.

the tree is beautimous! love the book pages idea. we decorated "our" tree (cheri's) today and the kids really went to town. the ornaments are in weird groupings but i'm going to leave it because it made them so happy.
Spectacular! We get ours tomorrow night and I'm anxious to see what we end up with. It's always a bit of a mystery when it comes to live trees. Looks like you got a winner!
The tree is beautiful! I'm so excited about spending Christmas with you!
It is beautiful...as is everything you do.
Sarah, I LOVE your tree. I don't know if you will see this comment, but I really love those burlap count downs and the book pages. If you get the wreath done, please post!!!
Jen,
Thanks! I never did get to that wreath. But I will get an early jump on it next year.
