I almost forgot

My sister in law just sent me this photo of her baby, Lottie, and the quilt I made for Lottie's older brother, Oliver, 8-ish years ago. That was before I was regularly taking pictures of my quilts and I had pretty much forgotten what this one looked like. I also wasn't sure if the quilt had survived the family's move, while my sister in law was in a coma. This was a nice surprise for lots of reasons.
I am happy to have this photo, and happy to see little Lottie putting the quilt to work again.

Browns and blues, stripes and dots.
Yellow Brick Road pattern.

Katie,
I need a picture of that quilt too. Do you have one?

Sarah, I love this, b/c it looks so similar to the one you made for my new baby boy about 8 years ago! It's a gorgeous quilt and was the subject of every conversation I had when I took it out of the house with us. Just looking at Lottie on it makes me happy, reminding me of how darling it was for my little Ethan. You are so incredibly talented and generous with your talents. I don't know if I could devote that much time and patience to a gift for others. Willingness to do that is part of your talent. Thank you for sharing it with the rest of us!

Jennifer,
Yes, I made this quilt at the same time I made the one for your Ethan. I think many of the fabrics are the same, and definitely the pattern is the same. Don't have a picture of Ethan's either. What was I thinking?

And the more I think about it, it's probably closer to 7 years, for both of these. Isn't Ethan 7?

So how many quilts have you given away? I mean really. How do you stand giving so much of your beautiful art away!?? I am too selfish.
