making a quilt is fun to do, fun to do, fun to do

Projects pending:
1.  Hank and George's baby clothes cut into 6" squares: to be made into 2 quilts. Still have more cutting to do.
2.  These blocks will be sewn together to make a quilt I am very excited about, but trying to keep this a surprise for the recipient.
3.  This quilt top is done, but, again, I don't want to show too much yet. I can't resist sharing sometimes. I wrote about the prep here.
4.  Trying to figure out why my fiddle leaf fig is developing dry brown spots on the leaves. Sounds like too much sun, but it gets the most indirect light in the house. Any advice?

Oh boy, I am dying to see what #2 becomes. And #3 reminds me of a quilt I made for Pearl, except yours is way cuter and undoubtedly more structurally sound. And awesome idea for the boys' quilt! Was it hard to cut that stuff up?

As for the fiddle, I have the same exact problem. The brown spreads and then the leaves fall off. I have about 3 leaves left. Time to buy another, I guess. Mine is in a very low light area, so my guess is they need more light? And I think I was not watering often enough as well.

Abby, I know. I thought of Pearl's quilt as I was making it. Only if I remember right, you made hers with vintage fabrics which makes it super awesome! Mine is just from my pretty recent stash.

I love the idea of using their shirts. I wanted to do that for my little boys too, but I just donated them instead. I can't wait to see it all finished! I'm sure I am going to kick myself for not doing it.

Brittany,
I gave away most of their clothes too. Just saved the non-knit ones. You could also do it with dad's old shirts, etc.

I'm saving all the boys' sports uniforms to make into a quilt for each of them someday. But I wonder if I'll really do it . . .

Hilary,
I am saving those too. Let me know when you get around to yours!

Mmmmm. I love every one of your quilts and I'm so happy to own a couple of them.
