I feel like we only scratched the surface of all that Copenhagen has to offer. On our last day here, we visited Trinitatis Church, where the Nielsons' ancestor was married. It was pretty neat for me to know that certainly my own ancestor had probably been here too.
The king built this Round Tower adjoined to the church, so that he could ride his chariot quickly to the top and look out over the city. On our visit, field-tripping school children were running down the spiral ramp at full speed.
We made it back to the the old and architecturally beautiful, train station and found our favorite Schweppes Lemon soda. Why can't we get this in the U.S.? Believe me, I have looked online everywhere since we've been back. It is the most refreshing, delicious soda! I look forward to our next rendez-vous.
After a few card games, a quick walk across the street to the most amazing bakery, and lots of visiting, we took the train to Ystad, Sweden (on a bridge that dips under the Baltic Sea), then caught our ferry to the island of Bornholm, Denmark.
Peter, Darin, Me, Liz and Leone playing Kemps and Mormon Poker on the Ferry. I was keeping my eyes off the rocking horizon to keep my motion sickness at bay.
