So we flew to Seattle on Friday {sans children} for Stephen + Leone's wedding. A great couple. A beautiful city. A fun weekend. Stephen's friend's private tour bus took the whole
Nielson family (yes, the LARGE bus) on a drive through the
hot spots of Seattle. We ended at Pike Place Market which was as charming as I remembered from my childhood. We ate at the lovely
Beecher's Handmade Cheese shop. Mark and I shared the most amazing mac and cheese and tomato soup {with cheese, of course}. Note: It may have been extraordinarily amazing because we were very hungry and equally cold. Regardless, my
memory says "YUM!" While eating, we watched the cheese come to life through a glass window that divides restaurant from cheese factory. BRILLIANT!
That evening the wedding dinner was at a cute little Italian restaurant. I played
Vannah in the
Nielson's skit contribution. Mark was Alex
Trebek, Christian - Cajun Man, Alice - Penelope from Saturday Night Live, and Peter - Jack Bauer. They were all really funny!
