pizzelle (pronounced with tz sound like pizza)
I'm adding this to my must have-list even though it doesn't jive with my no more kitchen gadgets-list. Then there's my childhood memories at Grandma's-list. 2 to 1: I win.

I expect sugary doughnut things next time I'm at your house.
I used to have a small pizzelle iron. I must have tossed it after years of no use. I do remember my mother having one. I have a rossette & timbale iron, if you ever want to use it.
Wait, what are those? And we used to have a pizzelle iron? Where was I?
Emily, do you not remember pizzelles at Grandmas? They're not sugary doughnuts, more like soft waffle cookies.
That's what I meant.
I think if you pronounce it with a 'tz' you also have to pronounce the e at the end. "Pitzel-leh." It's impossible for me to see a pizzelle iron and not think of Grandma and probably lawn darts.
Funny, but I always just assumed they were Danish cookies. Who knew we're Italian?
