light up my life

This chandelier from dwr would look fantastic in my kitchen. There's a gorgeous black one too. I would have a hard time deciding amongst the three. Fortunately, I don't have to decide. Because the price is $2900. End of story.

BUT, if anyone knows anyone who makes a knock-off of this, please share. C'mon Target!

What about the place that Stephanie and Christian got their chandelier? I think she said it was only $100. I bet they have something similar. I'm pretty sure it was greatchandeliers.com.

Yeah, I just found this one on that website. It's a little fancy but at $300 that's not bad. http://www.spectrumhome3.com/PurchaseItem.aspx?ChandelierID=3252&SpecialTableID=48&Pieces=&name=Murano%20Venetian&sku=A46-SM/RED/490/7&description2=Spectrum&ID=233

Why do you have to choose between feeding your fmaily, or making your house payment, and havng what you want!! Seriously. You find the cutest stuff. Now I want to come see what you are doing in your house. I bet it is awesome!

Liz, thanks for your help!

family journal,
Thanks for your interest in my humble blog. I wish I WAS doing something exciting at our house. Like putting in the $2900 lighting fixture. Actually, I would feel gluttonous (sp?) if I bought that. Although poeple are obviously paying that somewhere in this world. I'll let you know when I do something exciting.

Waiting for a cool Halloween throw-up/break-in story.

I've seen on a lot of design shows where they buy flea market or thrift store chandeliers and simply spray paint them for a very similar effect. It would be worth a try.
