2009 gifts

Our birthday gift to each child at church this year is a journal made from a junior legal pad (Costco). We added a primary-colored cardstock cover (adhered to the back with scrapbook glue dots). White pencils from Oriental Trading complete the gift. Both journal and pencil say "I LOVE MY FAMILY, to go along with this year's "My Eternal Family" theme. Cost per child: under $0.70. I'm happy with the way the journals turned out. We have lots more to make, but it's just folding and gluing. Not sanding and painting. Click photo to see detail.

The girls just love theirs and everyone in our family has already received a love note from each of them! Great idea!

Great idea- and as with our primary (about 120) much more doable!

That's a fantastic idea it's always difficult to think of something special for our Primary children, especially one that's simple and easy to do. By the way I've popped in from lizzy writes I hope you don't mind.

Sarah- super cute.
do you have photoshop? how'd you get the "collage" effect for your pic?

Sarah said...

I do have photoshop, but I didn't use it for this. I used old-school Picasa.
