This quilt is for a
friend who just had her 5
th baby girl (child #6). She is patient and kind and manages her large family of 8 with such ease. She's also in great shape after having her baby only 8 weeks ago. How does she do it?
The pattern is
Camille's Jelly-Filled again. I recommend it. I like Camille.
The fabric is Amy Butler's Midwest Modern 2. I like Amy too.
The back.
This quilt is similar to the
one I did for the most recent
nienie auction. The back is different though and I mixed in some new fabrics on the front.

And
I like her quilts.
this is beautiful, Sarah! I will definitely have to check out that pattern! :)
I love the big print on the back! The quilt is so peaceful and feminine. I stumbled upon your site and your quilts are lovely and inspiring. I'm new at quilting, is this a fairly simple pattern? It looks easy, but looks can be deceiving... Anyway, it is sure to be a treasured gift!
I love the fabrics! I need to make another quilt. You inspire us with your beautiful work.
Absolutely lovely.
So pretty, of course, I wouldn't expect anything different! I love your fabric choice!
The back is fabulous! Love it.
I love the fabric you used on this!
This is Christian's cousin Karren, btw. I think we met at Steve's wedding in Seattle. love the blog!
Karren,
Thank you! Great to hear from you!
Tiffany,
I would say this could be a beginner quilt, for sure. The pattern even states, "A great project for beginner quilters and experts alike." It would be ideal to use a "jelly-roll" which is pre-cut strips of 2 1/2 inches. I did not use that, so it took a little more time to cut my own, but not much. If you like piecing, this will be a fun one for you!
Good luck!
Thank you, thank you. Everyday I look at it in her room and it brings me joy because of the beauty and friendship that is associated with it.
