last month i clogged in a recital chock full of mostly 12 and under girls. a three hour recital in which, if you came to see just me, as my family did, you waited a long time 'cause i danced in one solitary dance: the finale. in the irish finale, the advanced clogging adults (that's our group name. i don't assume or presume that title) gave it a go with the younger girls and teens. i wish i had their flexibility and energy. tons of fun. i really miss it. and the music was like an irish celebratory battle song, or something. very stirring. at least to me. makes me want to get up and dance!
can i get a whoop whoop for higher ground dance studio?!!

we need video.
okay that is awesome, I've secretly always wanted to take a tap dancing class, I think I almost did at BYU, can't remember why. Looks like you're living your dreams though.
Ok, you are amazing AND brave!
I should have taken up clogging with you! It looks like THE funnest way to dance!
I am laughing so hard. not that it's 'funny' i am just so impressed and you look so stinkin' cute! serious big whoop whoop for sarah!!!
Sarah why do you have to be so cute? I always thought clogging was cool, now if I was just cool enough to learn. I also would love video :)
A pregnant clogger?! Yoou are the JACK OF ALL TRADES girl. add that to all the other titles you have, along with Primary president? I makes me wonder what the heck I am doing with my life!
Listen, everyone. Sarah was fabulous! She was worried about some misstep she made, but we were certainly not aware of it. She's a natural, and that finale was amazing!
there won't be any video here.
WHOOP! WHOOP! You look way better in your costume than what I remember my 5 year old sister looking like - in pink and green frills and ruffles with the HUGE peticoat underneath! I would have loved to come see - as would the girls. VIDEO PLEASE!
I've decided I'm no longer going to train for a half-marathon. I'm going to clog instead. You are my idol.
Hilary,
are you kidding me? half marathon? i'm impressed.
Sarah you look so BEAUTIFUL in your outfit.
I must apologize again for last night you know me I stuck my foot in my mouth. I so did not mean what I said the way it came out. I guess I should stop and think about it before it comes out. Anyways I think you look beautiful and I'm so happy for you.
Bekki,
I am not offended. I think I know what you meant. No worries.
Oh my gosh:
1) You look beautiful and glamorous on that stage, and probably even more so in living color
2) Based on many a personal experience (need I even begin listing our girlhood "routines?"), I believe your mom when she says you did a fantastic job. You always had the best moves, esp in the front yard while traffic whizzed past.
3) This is bringing back an uncanny amount of memories of our ill-fated tap class with the psychopathic redheaded teacher. Remember when she just didn't show up one day and all of the sudden, tap class was over, permanently? Amye, who was that lady and whatever happened to her?
4) You are inspiring and fun. A great example to me. Here's two whoops to you!
Ditto to all of the above comments, Sarah! Is there anything you CAN'T do, or that you don't look fabulous doing? I love that you are doing something like this. I find it so inspiring.
Jennifer,
I absolutely remember the front yard performances of "He's Just a Runaway..." and the like, but the tap class is all just coming back to me now. What DID happen to that teacher and that day where no one was there to teach us more shuffle ball change turns?
I have to say, clogging is so much more enjoyable than tap ever was for me.
Erin, and all, thanks for the encouraging words.
The thing is, you look like you fit right in, you all look the same age! How did that baby enjoy the bounce ?
Ladies, Ladies. Suffice it to say there is Video, and I have it. Bribes anyone? I can be bought.
Mark
