deux

Seems like everything is coming in twos these days: we are having two babies (identical), thus my girth is twice as big as a basketball, I wake up every night at 2 am (often child's-nightmare induced) and I can't get back to sleep for at least two hours (is there a comfortable way to sleep pregnant?), and, on an unrelated note, i just finished these two quilts for friends' babies. This first one is for cute baby Jill, whose mom and dad are my longtime friends. They have been supportive and kind from across the country and now, across the state. Jill is their 6th. The second is for cute baby Annabelle whose mom is a newer friend from church. Annabelle is her 2nd.
Both quilts are undelivered at this moment. Probably ruining the surprise here.

I am crying! Seriously! I can't believe you made that for Jill! I am so excited! We will make a special trip up there to get it! Can't wait to see you! How is the 22nd?

I love the quilts.

Did you have another ultrasound to confirm the one sac? Have you been thinking of rhyming names?

Beautiful Quilts! How did you accomplish that while being pregnant --- and with twins? Boy do I feel lazy.
Liabelle loves her quilt. I need to snap a photo of her on it for you. I'll let you know just as soon as I do.
Congrats again.

Anna,
I am still in awe of your certainty that you would have another girl. She was meant to have that quilt!

you're right. a comfortable way to sleep while pregnant doesn't exist. we get something great out of this, right?
