Laguna Beach

Spring break is still going strong around our house. We're mostly just home loungin' around, but last week's break took us to Laguna Beach. Upon our arrival, our in-law hosts, Peter and Darin, treated us to a delicious beach-side BBQ picnic. The beach which happens to be across the street and down some steps from their home. Yeah, can you say, HEAVENLY?
We stressed the importance of the kids not getting wet this first night, as we did not have towels, etc.  Jonah and Owen interpreted that to mean "go ahead and get very very wet in the icy cold ocean." Oh well.
Hank and George did not even go near the water and played happily in the sand. George (wearing batman) discovered his love for eating sand too. Repeatedly. Especially if I was looking, he would do it deliberately to get a reaction. So I learned not to look.

Looks like a great time! I'd live by the ocean in a second if I could afford it. Who wouldn't, right? :o)

I love the picture of the toddlers with their sand equipment! I'm glad you had a great time.

I learned a long time ago that no matter the temperature, of water or air, that beach = wet, sometimes very wet! Glad to know that someone else has the same problem with their children. Thanks for making me homesick with the fun pictures.

So funny! Our boys manage to get soaking wet no matter the amount of lecturing/threatening we do before hand. My family had a house in Laguna while I was growing up (they sold it a couple years ago) and so it holds a special place in my heart as far as beaches go. Beautiful! I'm jealous and happy for you all at the same time. :)
