I like clothes.
During the week, i'm in jeans that don't fit like they used to. One of 5 shirts I cycle through. A cardigan if it's chilly. Maybe earrings, if I'm going somewhere. But for church on Sunday, I put some thought and care into what I shall wear. I especially find great delight in finding a cute way to wear a bargain.
Take this outfit, for example:
It's a mix of discount store and Anthropologie sale items. I am always sure to point out the bargains to Mark, and he mocks back, "Oh, the money we're saving!"
He does like when I get dressed up and he complimented this outfit, so I take the harmless mocking in stride, and keep shopping.
Here's the breakdown:
- gray cardigan: Anthropologie sale rack
- yellow blouse: Anthropologie
- belt: Nordstrom sale - $14
- navy chevron maxi skirt (it's really a shame I didn't get a better shot of this long skirt): Forever 21 - $19
- earrings: Forever 21 - $4
- black ballet flats (not shown): Gap clearance, over 5 years ago - $5

You looks fantastic! I have that same gold blouse, and you're giving me some pretty ideas. I only wish I were tall enough to pull off a maxi skirt.
Unfortunately, my last big shopping coup was before I had Jeremy, and I was only able to wear it again a few times inbetween pregnancies, so I finally gave it away. It was a DI home sewn blue floral skirt down to my ankles, straight with gathers at the 2 inch waistband. Sigh. I need to shop more.
Um, I love this outfit Sarah! I like the skirt so much I might just buy it and cut it to a length that works for those of us in the shorter set! And truely, if you ever have the gumption to start a fashion blog you'd have a slew o readers :)
Oh Sarah, you look beautiful. I could never pull off such an outfit. Looks great on you though. And you know I love a bargain! :o)
You do always look so great whenever I see you. I may or may not think of your outfits when I'm trying to find things to wear. :)
Do you see why ANY compliments you give to me are worth their weight in GOLD?! You have it together in a way that I won't ever be able to. You look snappy, ALWAYS! I think your belt is so darling.
lovely comments. thank you.
This outfit is chic and hip and so totally you. You look fabulous. I love the shirt and the belt, especially. Could you start a blog giving style tips to the "rest of us" out there?? :)

You look so skinny and cute. Love the mixing of prints.
Yes, indeed. You look like a million bucks! I admire your artistic flair that shows up in your clothing style, your quilts, and your decorating.
Hot! White hot! I back up the last 3 comments, for sure.
that outfit is so cute! heck, you always look adorable.
and in this picture, i'd say you look no older than 25!
You always looked like you just stepped out of a magazine, even in jeans and a T.
I can't totally hear Mark saying that. He is a pro at being sarcastic. :P
