This quilt is for my nephew's baby, Afton. She was born in April and weighed less than 2 pounds. Thankfully, she continues to grow and thrive. Oh, the miracles of modern medicine!
I made large half-square triangle blocks, like I do for a chevron quilt, but made a pinwheel pattern instead. The fabric is Sarah Jane's Children at Play.

I love it I love it! and I'm so glad she's doing well.
I'm fascinated with your color schemes. I don't know how your quilts always look perfect in every way.
We are sure grateful for modern medicine! I'm glad she has done well! What a blessing, and once again, what a beautiful quilt!
P.S. I FINALLY got around to reading The Help and finished it last week! I'll get it back to you! Thank you! I loved it! Now I want to see the movie!
So pretty! And glad to hear the baby is doing well.
so gorgeous. and i love the name afton.
So so cute! I love the Children at Play line. It's just perfect for a pinwheel quilt. I had a nephew in the NICU for the same reason and I know that quilts are super important while they're there. Those preemie girls are fighters!
