We spent the weekend watching and listening to our church's General Conference. I learned so much and renewed my resolve to be better. A few of my favorite talks were: - Elder Hales - Debt and addiction and excess. "I love you" = 3 most important words. "We can't afford it" = 4 other loving words.
- Sister Lifferth - Self discipline. Reverence and respect start at home.
- President Monson - Perseverance
- And then the choir sang "We Thank Thee Oh God for a Prophet" with a fantastic photo tribute to President Monson - WOW!
- Elder Oaks - Entitlement is contrary to the teachings of Christ.

So will you post the pound cake recipe? Please please please? I bawled through most of conference. I guess because of pregnancy hormones.
elder holland's was amazing. and elder oaks' really hit me too. sooo different from what the world is telling us.

I have asked for the pound cake recipe. As soon as I get it from my friend, I will share it, with her permission, of course.
I already knew who I would put down before I read the other comments. Unanimous! Elder Holland's was my favorite.
The pound cake sounds so yummy! I'll be waiting for that recipe. Also have similar favorites and a list of "needs to do better areas."

Elder Hales talk totally stood out to me too. I need some work in that area. And I loved President Monson's message of hope in the future.
I enjoyed Elder Ballard's talk. And because I was listening on the radio, I missed the photo tribute. Too bad.
I'm telling my daughter daily that "we can't afford it". She actually seems to understand and just let's it go at that.

Great wrap-up of Conference talks! The pizza and dessert were delicioso! Thank you. I wish we had stayed for the scripture study. Our company wasn't even here when we returned. I sure love seeing you all!
