purple dresses
I love these Easter dresses my mom made for us 32 years ago. I vividly remember being so excited about the matching purses she made too. Whatever happened to those dresses? I wish we still had them. This was an ambitious undertaking in my book.
My memories from this age are spotty. It seems like my 4 year old will certainly remember everything about his life right now, when he is my age. But maybe not. How sad.

redemption
My kids have been mad at me this week for various reasons, including, but not limited to:
Apparently, somebody still loves me. And not just the 2 year old, unless he secretly knows how to write.
- not making what they like for dinner
- asking them to clean their rooms over and over again
- not spending $17 on a song download so they (she) can better memorize the fifty states and their capitals for a test on Friday. $17? What? (anyone have ideas on how to remember these?)
- not letting them watch FROSTY until their homework was done
- making them practice the piano and fill out their practice charts correctly
Apparently, somebody still loves me. And not just the 2 year old, unless he secretly knows how to write.

priceless
breakfast prepared by kids and Mark. homemade cards and gifts {the best}. 2.5 lbs jelly bellies. salmon-colored roses. sweet sentiments. snickers bar (from the ward). dinner at our house with the moms. mother's day good times.
check out the shirt my dad made for my mom. It is emblazoned with photos of all 10 grand children's names that he found in real life: street signs, NY stores, restaurant names, etc.

Grandma's Dishes
I made/am making one of these for all of our mothers. That would be 4. Each has unique 30's reproduction prints so no two are the same. The last one is almost done.
I wish I had the time and motivation to make one for myself. Rarely do I get to make a quilt and keep it.
