the one for me, you are

This is the oversized Valentine I made for Mark this year:
2 x 3 feet, taped to the garage door, so he'd be sure to see it before he left early that morning.
Image from here. Enlarged at Staples for under $5.
He loved it! And so did the kids.

a cape and a mask make anything cute

The boys in our family prefer commercially produced valentines with superheroes like Spiderman and R2D2 (yes, he's a hero of sorts). But Grace and I were smitten with a different kind of superhero on Pinterest and we couldn't pass it up. He's a little Nacho Libre-esque, if you ask me.
After much cutting, and a much-too-late-in-the-evening run to Walgreens for suckers, we brought this superhero to life.
We cannot get over how much we love this little guy (even if I did buy the wrong kind of suckers with extra wrapper twisted at the top). Grace is excited to give them to her friends today.
Happy Valentine's day and Happy 100 years Arizona!

button button, who's got the button

I also made these candy buttons for V-day. I got the idea from the small object steno pad. Then ordered the molds and candy from Bake it Pretty. Love that site. I bought cute cupcake liners too. Even downloaded the cute bag labels from there for free!
I really love these buttons. Fun to eat, but more fun to make and give.

valentine stimuli

I borrowed this big idea from Jordan. The message is my own.It was a big hit. In fact, by Mark's request, it is hanging above the computer in the office. The kids each got one too. Different messages like: "You're dinosaurific." and "I'm bananas for you." and "My heart jumps for you." and "You're the sprinkles on my ice cream."
